Three classic Toy Story games have reportedly been delisted from the PlayStation Store as of late September 2026. Besides making them unavailable to purchase on PlayStation consoles, the removals also affect their previous availability through PS Plus Premium.
Sony has spent the past several years bringing older PS1, PS2, and PSP games to the PS4 and PS5 through its PS Plus classic catalog. These emulated releases commonly add modern conveniences such as quick saves, rewind functionality, and improved rendering, and access to them is one of the defining features of PlayStation Plus Premium's retro library. Some Classics are also sold separately through the PlayStation Store as a way for players to own them permanently without maintaining a subscription.
The timing of the new delistings is difficult to separate from two new Toy Story releases scheduled for October 15. Atari and Digital Eclipse are preparing Toy Story: Retro Roundup, a collection spanning half a dozen classics remastered for modern consoles. Officially announced in early June 2026, the bundle will include modernized versions of Toy Story 2 and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Toy Story 3 Complete Edition is arriving on the same day. That makes the new PS Store delistings appear as part of a broader catalog transition, even if neither Sony nor Disney formally confirmed the three classics were specifically pulled to make way for newer releases.

The de facto transition is fairly straightforward for the two PS1 games, since their original PlayStation versions are included in Toy Story: Retro Roundup. The situation is markedly different for Toy Story 3. The game removed from Sony's PS Plus Premium lineup is the PSP adaptation developed by Microsoft Flight Simulator developer Asobo Studio, whereas Toy Story 3 Complete Edition is based on the separate home console version. The latter features the more expansive Toy Box sandbox mode in addition to its story campaign and supports local multiplayer, none of which makes it a direct replacement for the PSP title.
Only PlayStation users who purchased the PSP version of Toy Story 3 while it was still available will be able to redownload and play it moving forward. Anyone who buys Atari's Retro Roundup to regain access to Toy Story 2 and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command will also receive four additional titles as part of the bundle, including Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue, Toy Story Racer, and A Bug's Life.
