Our prayers for a Star Wars: Galactic Racer Switch 2 announcement still haven't been answered, so our minds have naturally started to drift to other Podracing alternatives on the system. We recalled a crafty little Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom build from a few years back that rather brilliantly brought the Boonta Eve Classic to Hyrule, and what do you know, in the two years since, the designer has refined the build for even more film accuracy.
There has been no rest for @domodesu0002, it seems. The new Ultrahand build makes the first design look like a proof of concept, now complete with realistic-looking engine covers, rockets, a more Anakin-esque cable system, and a chassis that looks straight out of Tattooine.
In short, the builder has once again put out humble Ultrahand attempts to shame. They shared yet more footage of this updated build in a YouTube Short (below), which is worth watching for those sweet Podracing sound effects alone:
But the real gem here is that the designer has shared the build on X, complete with a scannable QR code so we can all replicate the pod via the Zelda Notes app. Yippee indeed!
So no, we might not be getting Galactic Racer any time soon, but at least now we can take this beauty to the Gerudo Desert and pretend we're facing off against Ben Quadinaros and co.
