I'll start with a fun personal favorite, Hornet Meursault. While not the most inately powerful, Hornet Meursault is an incredibly fun, multi-hitting ID who can spread mass amounts of Burn to multiple enemies at once with his form-shifting rifle/shotgun. Benefiting from both Burn and Bleed with a hard focus on Burn, Meursault is a flexible alternate slot-in if you want to maximize your application.
Sadly for Hornet, Burn doesn't really have to worry about losing large stacks, since only 1 stack is lost at the end of the turn. Hornet Meursault is a great choice for bosses who cleanse debuffs mid-fight, and can handle groups of small fry like nobody else. It also helps that he's just so cool!
Heathcliff's Heishou Identity is a powerful one, bringing great damage in exchange for self Burn that can really chip him down. Luckily, Heathcliff has two passives to keep him going, Gamefowl, which stops him from falling below 1 HP or Staggering from Burn damage, and Flame Rooster's Death Defiance, allowing him to shake off the first fatal blow he sustains in a fight.
The downside with You Heathcliff comes from his difficult to reach passive activations, requiring 5 Gluttony in a team that struggles to run that Sin. Combine this fact with the fantastic synergy another ID we'll discuss has with one of the best Burn units in the game, and You Branch Heathcliff becomes a fun, if suboptimal, side grade.
Here's that strong Burn option I mentioned! Thumb Apprentice Heathcliff is an incredibly straightforward Burn/Tremor ID, growing stronger the longer he battles individual opponents. Once he clashes with them multiple times, he gains Maturing Textbook, a buff that remains for the rest of the battle and amplifies him heavily.
On his own, this is a slow process, but alongside his Nursefather, Heathcliff gains extra attacks, allowing him to stack his effects far faster. He works best as a duo piece alongside Thumb Rodion, backing her up and stacking wild damage while allowing her to pop the effects he's afflicted on the enemy. Truly an effective right hand.
