Fortnite's annual Halloween event has kicked off earlier than it ever has, allowing players to jump into a whole month of spooky content updates. From the arrival of Five Nights at Freddy's in both the Item Shop and on the island, along with new bosses and Sprites, this Fortnitemares may just be the best one yet. Speaking of Sprites, there is a new way for players to get them, Pumpkin Chests. Here is every Pumpkin Chest location in Fortnite.
There are quite a few possible locations where Pumpkin Chests can spawn on the Fortnite island. Above, you can find our official map showcasing exactly where you can find them. However, while Pumpkin Chests do appear in preset locations, they do not have a 100% spawn, so you may not find them every single time in each spot.
There are also likely far more possible spawn locations. As such, I will be updating both this guide and the map provided as they are discovered. For now, here is a rundown of every discovered Pumpkin Chest location so far in Fortnite for the Fortnitemares update:
Pumpkin Chests are pretty much your next best way to get Sprites for the remainder of Chapter 7 Season 4. When near a Pumpkin Chest, you can interact with it to smash it. Doing so will drop a random Sprite.
While the Sprites dropped from the chest seem to be completely random and can be pretty much any Sprite added throughout the season, they seem to offer a better chance at dropping a Spooky Dash Sprite, the Deer Sprite, and a Vampire Sprite than other containers.
Smashing a Pumpkin Chest for the first time completes the 'Smash a Pumpkin Chest to find a Sprite' Nitemare One Quest for Battle Royale. This rewards you with 15,000 XP and one quest completion towards unlocking the Fortnitemares rewards, including the Jack-a-Nape Skin.
Pumpkin Chests will remain in the game until the end of Fortnite Override on October 31.
