Tribute Games has released retro-style side-scrolling adventure brawler Scott Pilgrim EX downloadable content “Back in the Band” for $3.99, alongside the free update “Coin-Op Chaos,” the developer announced.
“Back in the Band” adds three new playable characters—Stephen Stills, Kim Pine, and Knives Chau—as well as new assists, moves, combos and character palettes.
The “Coin-Op Chaos” update adds a new Arcade Mode with lives, credits, score chasing, local rankings, cooperative play play, cross-platform support, and drop-in or drop-out multiplayer

The band is finally back together. Alternate versions of Stephen Stills, Kim Pine, and Knives Chau warp into the fight, completing the full band lineup in Scott Pilgrim EX. Each fan-favorite fighter arrives with a distinct combat style, original animations, character-specific abilities and new ways to build over-the-top combos across Toronto.
■ Free Title Update: “Coin-Op Chaos”
Available free to all Scott Pilgrim EX owners, “Coin-Op Chaos” introduces the Arcade Mode, a fast-paced new way to experience the entire game. Inspired by the golden age of arcade brawlers, the mode streamlines progression from stage to stage and adds lives, credits, score chasing and local rankings.
To celebrate the release of both the downloadable content and the free title update, the base game is available at 20 percent-off through September 9 on PC and consoles, marking the first discount for Scott Pilgrim EX.
