Oogie Boogie’s got a bit of a scavenger hunt for you to tackle in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In your very first quest with him, he’ll ask you to track down some Sweet or Spooky Pumpkins around the village.
You’re not given a whole lot of information to work with for this task, and scavenger hunt missions are always fairly tricky, so it can be a tough one to work through. If you’re struggling to get it done, here’s where to find Sweet or Spooky Pumpkins in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
You can find the Sweet or Spooky Pumpkins for Oogie Boogie’s A Halloween Invasion quest around the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow biomes. While many other quest items have very precise spawn spots that are the same for everyone, this is not the case here.
Instead, all eight Sweet or Spooky Pumpkins spawn randomly around both biomes. Their placement depends entirely on the decorations and buildings you have in each area, so it looks different for all players.
For me, there was an even split of Sweet or Spooky Pumpkins across both biomes. Four were in the Plaza region, and the other four were down in the Peaceful Meadow area. This may not be the case for you, though, so search both regions carefully to avoid missing any.
You can find Sweet or Spooky Pumpkins by carefully scanning both the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow regions. Be sure to check behind buildings, in corner areas, and around all furniture and decorations you have placed to avoid missing them.
All Sweet or Spooky Pumpkins emit a black smoke effect once you’re fairly close to them, so you can watch for this animation to make finding them a bit easier. If you’re still having trouble, consider searching using an overhead perspective through furniture mode.
You can destroy Sweet or Spooky Pumpkins by swinging at them using your Royal Pickaxe. As soon as you do, they’ll either emit some spooky ghosts or drop the Fear Essence you need for Oogie Boogie.
