Update [Wed 30th Sep 2026, 2:35pm]: If you love the look of LEGO’s Astro Bot set but don’t want to cough up for the upcoming LEGO PS1, then there will be a way to get it standalone.
As spotted by Wario64, the set is currently available on PS Direct for $24.99/£17.99, although it’s temporarily listed as ‘Coming Soon’.
I assume pre-orders will open on 4th October, which is when the LEGO PS1 is set to be sold to non-insiders.
Obviously if you do intend to get the LEGO PS1 then you may as well nab this for free, but if you just want the PS5 platforming mascot, then this seems like a good alternative option for you.
Original Story: I was a big believer in Astro Bot back when he was effectively a tech demo in PS4 game The Playroom VR.

It’s cool to see how far the character has come, resulting in this official LEGO set, which will be included alongside early purchases of the LEGO PS1, due out next month.
There’s currently no word on whether it’ll ever be sold separately, so this could end up being quite a sought after set.
