When you start EA Sports FC 27's Ultimate Team mode for the first time, you'll go through the initial setup of your team and an introduction to the game mode. While long-term fans of the series will know what to expect and how the mode works, one of the first things you'll need to do is choose one of four different Starter Packs to get your team started. This allows you to set your first starting lineup so you can begin playing matches. To help make sure you get off to a good start, here's the best Ultimate Team Starter Pack to choose in EA FC 27.
To cut to the chase, the best Starter Pack to choose is the Premier League and WSL pack. But for those wanting to understand a little bit more as to why, I'll explain below.
First, there are four different packs for players to choose from that are based around the four biggest men's and women's leagues in football:
Your Starter Pack gives you more players from each pair of leagues, respectively. However, they'll also give you access to earn Squad Foundations players from those leagues, too. These are special cards with boosted stats, meaning you'll want to make sure your Starter Pack reflects the league your team will primarily be based on as you progress throughout the season.
As such, this does mean that there is some personal preference at play here. If you want a more original team, you may pick the Ligue 1 and Arkema Starter Pack, whereas if you have a passion for German football, you may want to go for the Bundesliga option. However, the Premier League and Barclays Women's Super League pack is the best option because not only do Premier League players typically get the most (and often the best) promo and special cards throughout the course of the year, but the best players are in this league, making it easy to build a competitive team.
That being said, some players don't like having the same team as everyone else, and the price of Premier League players on the Transfer Market tends to be higher than in other leagues because it is so popular.
These Starter Packs are arguably more important if you haven't purchased the Ultimate Edition and won't be playing early or getting the benefit of EA FC Points to buy packs.
