Open-world MMORPG AION 2 will launch for PC via Steam and PURPLE on October 5 worldwide, a delay from its previously planned September release, developer NCOSFT announced.
AION 2 first launched for PC, iOS, and Android in South Korea and Taiwan on November 19, 2025.
Before its global release, NCSOFT will conduct a “Launch Scale Test” from September 17 to 18, building an environment similar to the actual service to check server and infrastructure stability, while also giving users the opportunity to experience the game before its official launch. Sign-ups are available via Steam.
Users who purchase for the “Founder’s Pack” will also receive five days of Early Access gameplay from September 30 to October 4, before the official launch October 5.

Built on Unreal Engine 5 across a world 36 times larger than the original AION, this is the only MMORPG built for aerial combat. Verticality is in the DNA of AION 2, and rewards players who can think, and fight, in three dimensions.
