Minecraft Dungeons 2 is nearly upon us, bringing a little more blocky fun to the franchise, and whether you’re getting the new game on release or not, you can still bag a free Minecraft cape for Dungeons and the main game.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 is about to bring more of the chaotic combat that its first release brought, which is a world away from the cozy addition of cushions the main game’s just added for all your favorite seeds and adorable homes.
However, if you want to beat those nasty piglins in style, or just show off a new fancy cape, you’ll want to bag the Minecraft Dungeons 2 Hero Cape and Twisted Cape, which is available in the main game and the upcoming adventure.
To get the new Minecraft Dungeons 2 Hero Cape, you need to own Minecraft Dungeons 1 and 2. If you do, head into Minecraft Dungeons 1 and play it. Then, log into Minecraft Dungeons 2 before December 31, 2026, to redeem the new cape.
If you want to use it in your main Minecraft adventure, once you’ve done the above, head into your Minecraft account and log in (make sure it’s the same account), and the cape will be available.
You can get the Twisted Cape by pre-ordering Minecraft Dungeons 2 before its September 29 release date. When the game launches, you can log into your game and confirm the pre-order bonuses for the cape.
To get it in the main game, simply log in with the same account and you’ll have the cape.
