Pokemon and Starbucks are launching a collaboration in Japan, with a Pikachu-inspired latte and merchandise items featuring some of the series’ best-known characters.
Headlining the coffee collab is the Pikachu Honey Cream Latte, an iced espresso drink with honey and caramel flavors. There’s also a whole bunch of exclusive merch, which spans drinkware, bags, aprons, and more.
Among the most prized items are a straw tumbler with a Poke Ball-inspired lid and stainless steel bottles that feature designs based on Gen 1 starters.
Kicking things off is the Pikachu Honey Cream Latte, which combines iced espresso with honey and caramel flavors, and is finished off with honey-flavored whipped cream. It even has a heart-shaped topping designed to resemble Pikachu’s red cheeks (it’s almost too cute to drink).
The cute collab drink goes on sale across Starbucks stores in Japan, comes in a Tall size, and will set you back ¥678 (around $4.28) to go or ¥690 ($4.35) in store. Trainers who purchase the drink will also get a special Pokemon collaboration sticker with each latte purchase.
Illustrator Hikaru Ichijo has also created 12 pieces of original artwork for the merch collection, depicting Pokemon like Eevee and Squirtle alongside baristas. Among the items are a ¥4,800 ($30.29) straw tumbler with a Poke Ball-inspired lid, a Pokemon x Starbucks apron for the same price, and a 550ml kettle that features Pikachu with his pals for ¥5,800 ($36.60).
There’s even a drip coffee maker and some rather adorable tote bags up for grabs, just in case the other collectibles didn’t take your fancy.
