There are a total of 24 Talismans to collect throughout the game. 15 of them come from core and side quests. The other 9 are Secret Talismans you have to find in various spots in the Overworld, Dungeons, and Rifts. You will need to find the first 8 Secret Talismans before you can unlock the final, 9th one.
Each Talisman starts at level 1 and can be leveled up to 3, similar to how gear Enchantments work.
