A man has been arrested after his Xbox console alerted airport security, who ended up finding fake IDs inside his bag. However, they weren’t all fake.
Even if you’re an experienced and expert traveller, there are still times when you will question what you’ve packed in your bag. Not only do you need to meet weight limits, but you’ve got to abide by rules.
Items like power banks are allowed in your carry-on bag – just don’t try to use them on a flight – but they can’t go in your checked baggage.
If you want to transport a game console, then that’s fine too. It can go in either your carry-on bag or checked baggage, but everything needs to be packed away tightly, or you may end up getting stopped.
According to TSA, a man was arrested at New York’s LaGuardia Airport after agents decided to take a closer look at his Xbox console.
Supervisory Transportation Security Officer Christopher Ramos noticed that a number of IDs were packed next to the console inside a plastic bag. “I noticed various driver’s licenses with different dates of birth and different class types, but all with the same photograph,” Ramos said.
Police were called and confirmed that the IDs were fake, leading to the man being arrested before he was set to board his flight.
