In Graveyard Keeper 2, you have two main types of currency to manage: money and Town Gratitude. There's a decent variety of stuff to do that can net you both, but if you want a little bit of both, then trading items and completing Town Orders is a good way to start. Selling items and completing requests from the game's vendors can earn you both money and approval from the townsfolk, and if this sounds like something you're interested in, here's what you need to know about how both of these Graveyard Keeper 2 mechanics work.
You can buy and sell goods from various merchants. In the village, Januarius in the tavern and Herm from across the street are the first merchants you'll encounter, and they'll be more than happy to take your coin or give you some in exchange for different products.
Merchants in Graveyard Keeper 2 will only buy goods that are relevant to their respective fields. For example, Januarius is interested in purchasing food and drinks, while Herm is mainly interested in groceries and supplies (including food, seeds, thread, and metal scraps). If you want to buy or sell more specialized goods like Fabric, Polished Bronze, or alchemical items, you'll need to rebuild shops across the town.
Vendor prices are dynamic, and they'll change according to how much of an item they have in stock. As a vendor's supply dwindles, their prices will rise in response.
If you want to make more money out of selling items, make sure you're selling a variety of goods instead of just one. Also, each sale you make will reward you with Town Gratitude, though the value itself is usually very small.
After you liberate the eastern side of the village from zombies, you'll get access to the Warehouse, which Jack will oversee. Here, you'll find a board on the second floor that has all the supply orders that the townsfolk have put in.
To fulfill a Town Order in Graveyard Keeper 2, do the following:
Orders can only be taken during Pride (purple) day, but they can be submitted during any other day of the week. If you're having issues claiming rewards for any orders you've already taken, try coming back on Pride day next week.
