Shortly after returning from St. Tyna's with Anca in The Blood of Dawnwalker, you'll look through a seemingly empty book at the inn that actually holds what could be the key to defeating Brencis once and for all. The only problem is that the answer, a sword, is nowhere to be found.
To find the sword, Anca and Coen agree that Coen will seek out the one person who might know where it is, Albertus. This decision will immediately begin the A Monk And A Saint quest, which will lead you on a journey to find the weapon that can finally end the Vrakhiri's reign of terror.
This article contains spoilers for the main story that are tied to this quest, so proceed with caution.
At the moment, all you have to go on is that Albertus is somewhere in the Middens, which is west of Svartrau City. As is the case for most quests, the location will be marked by a radius that encompasses the entire area, so it's not super helpful.
There are other ways to trigger this quest beyond just completing Echoes of Silenced Bells, but that's the most natural path if you're also pursuing Anca's story.
To make things a little easier for you, the house you're looking for is along the westernmost edge of Middens and marked on the map below:
As you make your way through Middens, you'll notice scribbles all over several walls, which will let you know you're going the right way. Once you reach the home covered in scribbles, you've found Albertus.
When you enter, you'll find Albertus seemingly out of his mind, scribbling on the wall, as Anca warned. If you try to approach him, he'll brush you off and attempt to continue what he was doing, which you'll realize is writing down text he has memorized and is afraid of forgetting.
