Bonemass can be quite the problematic enemy to beat in Valheim. Unlike the first two bosses, this one is more than just a skill check. It forces you to adapt to your environment and prepare antidotes in advance. Failing to meet these two requirements will make the Bonemass fight in Valheim much harder than it should be, and if you're having trouble beating this big blob of slime and bones, here are a couple of tricks you can do to make the experience less miserable.
Apart from the boss itself, you have a few other problems to contend with in this encounter:
The fourth issue is solved pretty easily by clearing out the vicinity of Bonemass' altar before starting the fight, and while the others may seem hard to deal with, they also have fairly simple solutions.
The absolute best tool you can bring when exploring a swamp in Valheim is the humble hoe. Water and the Wet status are your main concerns when navigating a swamp, and you can pretty much nullify the negative effects of both by raising or flattening the terrain.
Before you fight Bonemass, consider expanding the boss arena so there are fewer pools of water lying about. This minimizes the odds of you accidentally rolling into a deep pond or attacked by leeches.
You can counter both the Wet status and Bonemass' poison by brewing the right types of mead. Poison Resist counters poison, while Stamina meads let you recover Stamina instantly, essentially negating the Wet status effect for a little while.
There are also a few methods to improve your stamina regeneration in Valheim. Getting the Rested buff is the main way of boosting this, but you can also use things like Trinkets and armor set bonuses.
Brew several Tasty Meads using Honey, Raspberries, and Blueberries so you have a constant buff to your stamina regeneration. Their effect only lasts for 10 seconds, but you can drink another one as soon as the buff ends.
