Control Resonant has quite a few side quests, and not all of them are linked to the main story, with several starting as you explore the streets of Manhattan. One such quest is Crossing the Threshold, which begins in the Central region.
After coming across a body with its head seemingly exploded by someone or something, Dylan will call it in to Zoe, and it is your job to get to the bottom of this murder mystery. This guide provides a full walkthrough, including the choices at the end that can lead to different outcomes and rewards.
Let's start by mentioning that one of the first objectives is to investigate the loading docks, so don't leave the starting area. Look towards the camera in the corner that is constantly blinking, and you will get the option to report this to Zoe and get another objective.
Don't go to the Field Office for now. Instead, head for the Dig Site, which you also need to investigate. Here, you need to report the body and grab Wilson's ID card, which you can use on the container door above you.
Once you jump up to the elevated platform, head inside the container to find the Threshold Site Recording, which tells you that the team must have gone to the Field Hospital, which is where your next two objectives are. Go to the Field Hospital and report the headless body as well as the locker, which is locked. Dylan will ask about the code, and you will get another objective.
Your next two objectives both lie inside the Security Station right below the fast travel point. Head inside and interact with the computer up ahead, then change the screen to find the code. Now interact with the other computer on the right to watch the footage of the incident at the loading docks. Once you are done here, head back to the Field Hospital and open the locker to complete that objective.
You will now need to make your way to the Warehouse, where you can find Wilson. Inside the Warehouse, you will need to deal with a few enemies that you can Falter to finish off easily before you can open the door where Wilson is standing. Talk to him, and he will let you know what the whole situation is with the entity killing the FBC staff. You will have a couple of choices here and two possible outcomes.
One of these outcomes nets no reward, so let's talk about that one first. If you select the option where you call him out as a murderer or mention that he needs to quarantine, the AVP-3 will make Wilson its new host and leave for the Dig Site. Similarly, if you choose to believe him and then choose the option to contain the entity, the outcome will be the same.
