Into the Sinkhole is one of the best main missions in Control Resonant that players begin right after saving Arish from the Evacuation Zone. Arish plans to use The Artist Resonant's body to build a powerful anti-Hiss weapon called the Cancellation Field Device (CFD). For that, Dylan will need to descend into a patterned sinkhole to place Probe Relays and eventually escape it when things go south (as they always do).
To start the Into the Sinkhole quest, players will need to complete Evacuation Procedures, defeat either Central or West Incursion Zone Resonant, followed by Arish's Briefing mission to unlock both Into the Sinkhole and Power Lines main missions.
After arriving at the mouth of the Sinkhole in the Evacuation Zone, you'll need to step on top of the Bell to start the descent.
After listening to a short and rather funny chatter from Zoe's end of the radio, the Bell will continue descending into the sinkhole. However, this section will require you to clear out a wave of Hiss enemies before the Bell can go further. It's nothing tricky; just take out all the enemies and step back onto the Diving Bell when you're done.
Now Dylan will arrive in a patterned apartment complex structure, where he'll need to locate a hidden Hiss enemy and defeat it for the Diving Bell to descend into the Sinkhole in Control Resonant.
The area is relatively big, so make sure to look around for lamps that emit a red light. You'll need to step off the diving bell and follow the trail of red lamps, which will take you to the hiding place of the Hiss enemy that you need to defeat.
The Hiss enemy will be shrouded in a shadow-like cloak, which will prevent players from targeting it. Before you can damage it, you'll need to jump towards it and attack it to force it out of its shadowy cloak. Once the Hiss is defeated in the area, you'll just need to step back on the Diving Bell and continue the descent.
Once the Diving Bell is fully lowered, you'll need to place four Probe Relays on top of the buildings in the area. To know exactly where to place a Probe Relay, you'll need to keep an eye on the Radar (mini-map) in the top-right part of the screen. It'll show exactly which building you'll need to climb and place the relay on.
