How to Unlock Howling Harbor in Aeolia - Moonlighter 2

Earlier in Moonlighter 2, your biggest concern was just selling as many relics as you could to meet The Endless Vault's milestone and complete the main quest. This progression in the campaign will gradually unlock new regions and biomes, but one that requires more work than the others is the second region in the Aeolia biome. Below, we'll share details on how you can unlock this region!

Move south from your relic store at Tresna and take the stairs down towards the left-side path. At the foot of the stairs, you should be able to spot a hand coming out of a portal. Interact with the hand, and it will ask for 500 gold. Pay the price, and Julien will come out of the portal. Keep in mind that this hand will appear after you get the Voice Beyond quest.

To make progress towards unlocking Howling Harbor, you need to complete a run of Zephyr Fields in Aeolia. This means you must beat the region's final boss as well.

Once that's done, go back to Tresna and sleep until it's daytime. Go to Julien and speak with him to get a mission known as Souls Forever Lost. If you have not acquired any missions from Julien yet, he will give you a few other quests before this specific one. So, keep completing them until you get Souls Forever Lost.

After you take this quest, run another adventure in Kalina's Night Realm. You don't need to fully complete it or beat the final boss in the region. Even if you die in the midst of the adventure, it's still fine. When you are back from the adventure, sleep again and visit Julien during the daytime once more.

This will wrap up the Souls Forever Lost quest. Afterwards, speak with Julien again to get the Souls Forever Lost 2 mission. And as soon as you get this quest, Howling Harbor will unlock as well. If you go to the adventure circle now, you can travel to the second region of Aeolia.

Similar to all previous regions, Howling Harbor also features Bloblets, Recipes, a unique boss, and a hidden treasure. Beating the final boss in this region will grant you the King's Right Mask, which is the missing part of the King's Left Mask that you previously collected by beating the boss at Zephyr Fields.
