Earlier this year, we were treated to Scott Pilgrim EX, a brand new side-scrolling beat-'em-up from developer Tribute Games.
The game is pretty good, with a retro art style, punchy combat, and a metric tonne of references to the beloved Bryan Lee O'Malley graphic novels.
Now, nearly six months after launch, the studio has announced and released a fresh batch of content for the game.
First up, there's a premium DLC pack titled Back in the Band. It costs $3.99/£3.29, but what you get in return is a trio of new playable characters — Stephen Stills, Knives Chau, and Kim Pine. You can see them in action above.
As well as the DLC, a free game update is available to all players, which adds a whole new mode to play.
It's an arcade mode, inspired by, well, the arcade, offering a more fast-paced way to play through the adventure.
You'll have limited lives and credits as you move through all the main stages and bosses either solo or in up to four-player co-op. This is all about score chasing and replayability; it seems like a very smart addition to me.
