As we make our way towards a new month, the October 23 release of Infinity Ward's upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 draws closer.
Today, the team has provided a great big detailed list of PC specs for Minimum, Recommended, and Ray Tracing setups, with the inclusion of a handy Benchmark Tool to 'zero in' on your PC's recommended settings.
Here's a look at Modern Warfare 4's PC spec sheet:
Infinity Ward is also "raising the bar for PC performance", now targeting 90FPS at recommended settings without sacrificing any visual quality. The devs have listed a bunch of fancy notes, detailing upscaling techniques, RICOCHET Anti-Cheat, and advanced shader delivery.
The team also highlight efforts taken to ensure players get into the action faster, achieving this with a built-in Benchmark Tool and Advanced Shader Delivery (ASD, as they happen to call it), which streamlines loading times on the Xbox PC version of the game.
"Updates no longer require restarts during game boots, reducing the friction of loading up the game after an update, though you can still expect a restart when an update goes live when you’re actively in-game. Expect this to occur between matches. We’ve also created a faster user experience flow by streamlining the game menus in favor of getting into a match as soon as possible."
A few other updates and fixes have been implemented into the game, which include the following:
In Collateral, every dollar counts and every decision matters. Teams alternate between attacking and defending two bomb sites, and all players start with a Pistol and earn in-game cash throughout the match to spend on upgrades between rounds. You lose your loadout if you die, and all earned money is kept between rounds. Respawns, Killstreaks, automatic health regeneration, and custom loadouts are all disabled. Use the limited tools available to you and make smart purchases to improve your odds in the high stakes, single life gameplay of Collateral.
