The Uchiha clan is one of the most important clans in the entirety of the Naruto series. In fact, given how many important characters have stemmed from this clan, it is the single most important clan that Masashi Kishimoto has created. Originally, the Uchiha were among the strongest during the Warring States Period. However, following the creation of Konoha, this clan's power and influence slowly dwindled. The Uchiha ended up being ostracized and shoved into a corner of the village before eventually being completely slaughtered by none other than Itachi Uchiha under the orders of Danzo Shimura.
With the Uchiha Clan Massacre, there were only a few remnants left in the village. In the current era of Boruto, the Uchiha Clan is now successfully being rebuilt by none other than Sasuke. The restoration of this clan has been triggered by a completely new individual with countless clones named Shin Uchiha.
When the Uchiha started a coup d'etat to take over Konoha in a peaceful manner without spilling any blood, Itachi Uchiha and Obito saw to it that this never happened. Itachi slaughtered nearly everyone in the Uchiha clan single-handedly, including his own parents, and sided with the village over his own people. On this day, the Uchiha Clan suffered a massive blow that they never truly recovered from. Sasuke Uchiha and Itachi were the last two survivors, with Obito being a hidden survivor, but both Obito and Itachi ended up dying at different points in the story, leaving Sasuke as the sole survivor of the Uchiha clan in the entire world.
In the Boruto era, Sasuke has officially started the restoration of the Uchiha clan by marrying Sakura Haruno, and together with her, he has Sarada Uchiha. Now, the Uchiha household is resurgent within Konoha, but this clan went on to receive an even bigger boost when the character of Shin Uchiha was introduced to us. In the spin-off manga series called Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring, which was written by Masashi Kishimoto himself and set in the Boruto era, the Uchiha clan was revitalized once again.

On May 25, 2015, in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 24, Masashi Kishimoto dropped the second chapter of this spin-off series. Here, the character of Shin Uchiha was introduced to us. Shin was a former test subject of Orochimaru and had multiple clones. Originally, Shin intended to restart the Akatsuki after being influenced by the way of life of Itachi Uchiha. However, his own clones turned on him in the end, and he was killed. All the clones from Shin Uchiha were tamed by Naruto Uzumaki and were taken to the Konoha Orphanage. To this day, they are still there and are an important part of the Hidden Leaf Village. It is through these countless clones of Shin that exist in the village, each with their own unique personality, that the Uchiha clan is going to be fully revived sooner or later when they grow up.
Shin Uchiha is an incredibly powerful character. Immediately upon his debut in the second chapter of the 7th Hokage and the Scarlet Spring spin-off, he unveiled the power of his Mangekyo Sharingan, likely after hearing Itachi's story. With his Mangekyo, Shin was able to brand a seal on certain objects or weapons and then control them telekinetically.
