All eyes are on Grand Theft Auto 6 and its upcoming November 19 release date, but we already know what's next for Rockstar Games. The long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 is Rockstar's first major release since 2018's Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar filled the space between the games by porting some of its older titles to newer hardware and publishing things like Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, but otherwise it's been a very long wait for the company's next title.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is potentially the most highly-anticipated video game release of all time, and it is certain to shatter sales records when it finally launches in November. GTA 6 is likely going to be the best-selling new release of 2026 and will almost certainly enjoy the kind of longevity that previous GTA games have, meaning it will continue to top sales charts for years to come. However, some fans of Rockstar's work may be anxious to know what's next from the company, and as it turns out, we already know.
It was previously confirmed that Rockstar Games is publishing the Max Payne remakes that are in development at Remedy Entertainment. The Max Payne remakes are going to be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S as a single comprehensive title, but otherwise we don't know much about what they will entail. Considering the high bar Remedy has set with its latest releases, though, fans can expect graphical showcases that bring the classic shooters to modern standards, at the very least. Chances are the Max Payne remakes won't be talked about much until some time after GTA 6 launches, so fans should keep an eye out for more information.

Even though Grand Theft Auto Online started out as the multiplayer component for Grand Theft Auto 5, it effectively evolved into its own thing. If Rockstar decides to go the standalone route with the GTA 6 online multiplayer experience, then that would definitely count as the studio's next release (assuming it comes before the Max Payne remakes, of course).
