Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World is on its way to the Switch 2 this December, and Square Enix has this week released a new trailer for the game titled 'Monster Wrangler'. This new look at the game was aired during PlayStation's State of Play Japan broadcast.
It gives fans another look at Bianca and Nera, who have wandered into the Kingdom of Witherwood, where they'll face off against an array of unexpectedly formidable foes, recruit monsters, synthesize them, and take on each battle with a unique party of creatures.
Along the way, you'll also be able to "battle to your heart's content" in the brand-new Wrangler's Gauntlet. You can see this towards the second half of the trailer above, with every attempt bringing new and "thrilling" battles as you aim to become the ultimate monster wrangler.
This game will once again be launching for the Switch and Switch 2 on 3rd December 2026, with pre-orders now available.
