As Manhattan continues to experience supernatural unexplained incidents, IGN has been sent a video secretly leaked by an anonymous source at the FBC, the Federal Bureau of Control.
Kept hidden from the public for decades, the FBC’s main charter is to investigate so-called "paranatural phenomena." Knowledge of their existence only came to light when the formerly secret government department released a public information campaign on how to stay safe from paranatural forces.
The subject line of the leaked video’s accompanying email reads: “Ignore the FBC. We are doomed.” Shot on a mobile phone on Thomas Street, the footage appears to show a number of figures levitating and surrounded by a red light emanating from various skyscraper windows. Sources with former ties to the FBC claim these incidents are caused by the Hiss, a hostile paranatural entity that corrupts human minds and represents a significant threat to the entire population of NYC.
The video’s authenticity is further supported by witness statements who claim to have seen the phenomenon firsthand. Michael Bamber, 33, a clerical worker with the NYC Port Authority, said: “I was walking to the subway when red started appearing everywhere. But I didn’t just see red, I could hear it, smell it even. It was crazy.”
Another witness, Cherry Connor, 27, a deputy administrator for City Hall, said: “I was just leaving work when people started floating up into the air. They kept on making these strange sounds, like they were chanting something. Then the woman right next to me started making them. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head and then she just took off, right off the ground. Then I started running. Everyone around me was screaming. It was horrible.”
Sources close to the 911 switchboard reported a massive spike in emergency calls during the phenomenon’s appearance and local hospitals were flooded with people suffering from hysteria and injuries caused by the sudden stampede of onlookers from the area.
This event is the latest in a series of paranatural phenomena that has wreaked havoc on Manhattan. However, when asked for comment, the FBC completely denied the appearance of the Hiss and blamed the apparent sighting on a mass hallucination. An FBC press officer said: “Hallucinations are very common and we believe that the recent bout of mass hysteria that New Yorkers have experienced has caused a mass hallucination. The Hiss are not in fact in Manhattan. Remember - no matter what you see, just trust the FBC. Thank you.”
In response to the FBC’s comments, Mr Bamber, the eyewitness to the Thomas Street incident, said: “The FBC are talking out of their f**king ass. Mass hallucination?! Bullshit! I saw the whole thing. People need to wake up. This is f**king serious.”
