Nintendo has announced two Nintendo Direct presentations for the month of September, one of which will focus on the anniversary of the Zelda franchise. The original Zelda game was released by Nintendo in 1986, and this year marks the 40th anniversary of the series. Over the last four decades, Zelda has become one of the biggest names in gaming, but Nintendo has been quiet about its plans to celebrate the occasion.
On Tuesday, September 8 at 7 a.m. PT, a Nintendo Direct will take place exclusively centered on the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. On September 9, a Nintendo Direct will be held at 7 a.m. PT, which will presumably focus on other games planned for Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Switch. The Zelda Direct will be approximately 30 minutes long, while the Nintendo Direct will be 45 minutes long. The Zelda Direct will likely include information on the Ocarina of Time remake, as well as the Zelda live-action movie coming in 2027.
