Throughout Musashi’s adventure in Onimusha: Way of the Sword, he will come across some unique and exciting encounters. Be it his good “friend’ Ganryu or creatures straight out of hell, there’s no shortage of cool and unique designs in the action-adventure game.
One of them happens to be Benkei, a large beast of a Genma who is terrorizing the good people of Kyoto. You will find him relatively early in the story, and even his introduction is chilling. He has immense strength, being a massive creature, and can knock around Musashi with little effort. Thankfully, there are some tips that will help in your journey to defeat him.
Probably the easiest to dodge out of the rest of moves, Beneki will jump into the air and stomp on Musashi.
Beneki will kick Musashi in the face and then bring a hammerfist down.
One of the most annoying attacks that doesn’t do a lot of damage, but annoying enough to look out for. Benkei would quickly smack Musashi with the hilt of his blade.
Bringing his sword to his right side, he will prepare a sweeping attack with a follow-up if you parry.
Beneki will bring his weapon down vertically and then do it again with force with a second weapon in hand.
Probably the most devastating attack, Benkei will quickly swing at Musashi with four to six hits that will beak your stagger if you’re not at least at 80%.
