As you may have seen, the Xbox Disc to Digital program has gone live for everyone today (following its brief Xbox Insider testing period), meaning you can now claim a digital license for your physical Xbox One and Series X games.
That said, not every game is supported by the program, and unfortunately there's no kind of official Microsoft list that helps us determine which titles are Disc to Digital compatible. The good news is that fans have been creating their own lists of Disc to Digital games through, revealing that over 1,500 of them are supported to date.
The main resource here is a website called XCT.live that features 1,568 supported games on its Disc to Digital list so far, which appears to be the most exhaustive list on the web right now. This includes the SEGA games that were added to the program earlier today as well, along with the recent Ubisoft additions.
You'll also find a big list over at True Achievements (although it doesn't include the Ubi and SEGA games at the time of writing), while there's a massive thread over on ResetEra where fans are confirming if games are compatible or not.
There are a few definites that we can confirm based on these findings - Square Enix and Bandai Namco are the two major publishers that aren't supporting Xbox Disc to Digital yet, many discs from the early Xbox One era (2013-mid 2014) aren't compatible, and some games with licensing issues such as Forza Horizon 3 aren't working with it either.
And no - Xbox 360 games aren't supported, as confirmed by Microsoft when the program was announced.
1,500 games is still a ridiculous number though, and your best bet is to just collect all the Xbox games from your shelf and start trying them one-by-one. I've only had a few that don't work so far, but the vast majority go through just fine!
