If you want to survive the very dangerous world of Star Wars Zero Company, you'll want to ensure your base, weapons, and operators are capable of dealing with all the hostile enemies you'll encounter. While some of this is managed via your Focus Points, a lot of your core upgrades are tied to your home, known as The Den.
Broken up into three categories, these Den upgrades can make a huge difference in your survivability — especially as you progress further into the story and start encountering tougher foes. Given how limited resources are early on, here is which Den upgrades you should buy first to maximize your chances of survival.
When it comes to picking Facility upgrades, you have several options early on. Ranging from being able to increase your Influence across the different zones to improving or unlocking new sections of the Den, this is where you will want to put a lot of your focus when you just start.

To start, you will want to ensure you snag a Medbay upgrade ASAP. This is the only area where you can remove injuries from your operators, which greatly reduces the risk of losing them during a mission. Given that some operators are going to be the backbone of your playthrough, having a place to quickly heal them is important.
An expanded Medbay also makes some of the Operations way less risky. This is because you often need to assign operators to complete certain intel missions, and they run the risk of being injured during the attempt. Operations are critical to your success, and sometimes it's worth taking on the riskier ones, which often end in someone getting injured. Being able to immediately put them on bed rest can save you a lot of headaches — especially if more than one person ends up getting hurt.
After the Medbay, your next upgrade should be the Black Market Quality. The first node will increase the quality of the gear you are sold, raising it from Basic to Superior, while the second node decreases overall prices by 15 percent. Both of these are fantastic, since the market will be one of the primary sources for acquiring new weapon mods or utility items.
Given that the quality of the item just means it has better stats, having Superior versions will increase the strength of your operators and allow you to tackle tougher missions you normally couldn't with basic-tier gear. Plus, you can improve the black market as early as Den Level 2, making it an easy, beginner upgrade to snag.
