Naruto Uzumaki, the Seventh Hokage of Konoha, has played a significant role in the storyline of Boruto. Right from the get-go, the Seventh Hokage was the first to respond to any threats to Konoha and the shinobi world. However, things changed drastically in Boruto chapter 55, which was released officially on February 19, 2021.
In this chapter, Naruto Uzumaki lost access to the power of Kurama, but what fans did not realize was that he also lost the powers of other Tailed Beasts with it. As Naruto Uzumaki prepares for his return in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, fans should get ready to big farewell to his three powerful Kekkei Genkai, those being Lava Release, Boil Release, and Magnet Release.
Naruto Uzumaki was shown to hold the power of Kurama in the very first chapter of the Naruto story, which was released by Masashi Kishimoto on September 21, 1999, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #43. Over the years, Naruto's control over Kurama's powers grew dramatically until the two eventually bonded in Chapter #570 of the series. Since then, Naruto Uzumaki grew tremendously in power, and his overall capabilities were taken to the highest level in Naruto Chapter 672, when he met the Sage of Six Paths and received half of his powers on April 28, 2014.

When Naruto Uzumaki returned to face off against Madara Uchiha, and later, Kaguya Otsutsuki, he did so not just with the powers of Kurama but that of the other Tailed Beasts as well. Naruto succeeded in utilizing the powers of Lava Release and Magnet Release against Madara Uchiha in Chapters 673 and 674, and then in the battle against Kaguya, he also utilized Boil Release. These powers became crucial to Naruto's arsenal, even in the Boruto era. In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 32, which was officially released on February 25, 2019, Naruto Uzumaki showed the powers of Lava Release once again.

At the end of the battle against Isshiki Otsutsuki, Naruto lost the powers of Kurama and, seemingly, with it, the powers of other Tailed Beasts as well. In Boruto Chapter 77, which was officially released on January 19, 2023, in V-Jump Issue #3, Naruto Uzumaki was sealed by Kawaki in the dimension of Daikokuten. He has still not returned since, and when he does, he will have lost his three powerful Kekkei Genkai.
