Rockstar Games has confirmed some of GTA 6’s most ambitious gameplay features, revealing a more reactive version of Vice City filled with realistic NPCs, changing character bodies, deeper relationships, and working social media feeds.
Many of these systems had previously appeared through leaks. Amazon Brazil and another retailer claimed the game would include advanced NPC intelligence, character switching, social networks, dynamic weather, and a denser open world.
Separate leaks linked to former Rockstar employees also described missions featuring both Jason and Lucia, alongside hundreds of stores, vehicle weapon storage, and a returning six-star Wanted level.
Now, an exclusive Dazed report featuring interviews with senior Rockstar developers has directly confirmed several features while revealing new information about how Leonida responds to players.
Rockstar says GTA 6 will be more grounded and reactive than its predecessors. Players will no longer be able to move through the city without consequences, as carrying a rifle in public will cause the surrounding world to respond.
NPCs have been designed to look, move, interact, and express themselves more naturally. Leonida’s population will include different ages, heights, body types, tattoos, piercings, plastic surgery, and fashion choices.
Their appearances will also reflect where they live. Residents of Vice City’s Little Cuba will look and dress differently from people encountered around the wilderness of Mount Kalaga National Park.
GTA 6 expands the body transformation systems introduced in Red Dead Redemption 2.
