Logan Paul has responded after it appeared he had called it quits on his shiny-hunting Pokémon stream after just one day, despite promising to play 24/7 until he caught one.
Since the days of Pokemon Gold and Silver, trainers have been trying to catch shiny Pokemon. They’re much rarer than their non-shiny counterparts, so unless you’re extremely lucky, dedicated – or decide to manipulate things – you may never actually find one.
In the case of Logan Paul, the YouTuber-turned-WWE wrestler announced that he would finally try to catch a shiny Pokemon of his own on September 18.
“Tomorrow, I will attempt to catch my first ever Shiny Pokémon: 1 in 8,192 Odds,” he said. “I won’t stop hunting until I catch a shiny Onix, then evolve him via trade + metal coat into Steelix. I could be hunting for days. And I’m live streaming all of it on my YouTube & Twitch.”

However, after 34 hours into the hunt, there were claims online that Logan appeared to call it quits despite his promise to not give up.
“I’ve lost my brain. I feel like a horrible dad and husband,” he said, telling viewers that his co-hosts would instead “hold it down” for him. “I need to get some family time,” Logan added.
He eventually rejoined the stream later, playing alongside his wife, Nina Agdal, before announcing that the hunt would be paused while he headed to perform for WWE on Monday Night Raw.
