One way to build on top of a gigantic world isn’t simply to stretch it out, but to build up another layer. That’s the whole premise of Terracrypt, PixARK’s first DLC that will take players underground. After receiving a distress signal that leads you beneath the surface, you’ll come face to face with a hidden force larger than expected, and if you don’t do anything, the whole planet will be doomed.
This new campaign won’t just turn you into an underground hero. It’ll give you the opportunity to explore a whole new region divided into three layers that get progressively more dangerous, along with twelve unique biomes. Along the way, you’ll be forced to form alliances with rival factions and unlock new technologies that, story- and gameplay-wise, will expand the scope of Terracrypt even further.
Terracrypt promises at least over 200 hours of gameplay on top of what the base PixARK already offers. The expansion significantly adds to the plethora of content already available, adding 80 new creatures to discover, interact with, battle, and, of course, tame to make them all yours, each tied to its own ecosystem with unique abilities and behaviors.
To the gladiators out there, Terracrypt will introduce 11 new enemies, each with their own quirks, weaknesses, and mechanics that you’ll need to learn if you want to build efficient strategies to take on this new challenge. If brute force isn’t enough, it’s a good idea to test out the new Genetic Engineering Systems to create creatures and plants tailored to your playstyle, expanding your progression and customization options.
