Now that Marvel's Wolverine is out of the way, the next big game from PlayStation is God of War Laufey, the solo adventure starring Kratos' supposedly dead wife Faye. We know that the game is launching next February, but for those that want to really lock in their purchases, PlayStation has revealed that pre-orders for the game are opening tomorrow.
Not only that, but it has also given us a look at what's included in the physical edition, which will be the last physical God of War game before the platform goes all digital in 2028. There's also a digital deluxe edition with some extra goodies inside, so here's what's included in both bundles.
We'll start with the standard edition of the game, which can be purchased either digitally or physically, and like with pretty much all the games that PlayStation puts out, the whole game appears to be on the disc. You'll also be able to get an armor set for Faye called Last Wish, a new appearance for Phranque called Golden Leaves, and an in-game resource pack all for pre-ordering.
I'm seeing a lot of confusion about the pre-order bonuses for the physical. There'll be a code in the box that you have to use to download the bonuses, while the game is on the disc. Let's not get mad at PlayStation for the right reasons, yeah?
If you want to splash some extra cash and go fancy with it, there is also a Digital Deluxe Edition of God of War Laufey that you can pick up instead that comes with different goodies. These include a different armor set to the standard edition, and a bunch of additional extras too. Here's everything included in the Digital Deluxe Edition:
And just in case you forgot while reading all that, pre-orders for God of War Laufey will go live tomorrow, which is September 29 at 10:00am local time. Hopefully, between now and release, we'll actually see more footage of the game in action, and fingers crossed there's less of the annoying cube in there this time.
