Polyarc, the studio behind PSVR classics Moss and its Book II sequel, has shut down as of today, 11th September 2026.

The developer's LinkedIn page broke the news, stating: "After nearly 12 years riding the joyous rollercoaster of emotions that is making video games, our time together has come to an end. As we wind down active development, we are saying our farewells to each other."

It added: "Working together over all of these years has been an honor. Bringing surprise and delight to those who played our games has been a privilege. Thank you to everyone at Polyarc, our work is now finished."

Founded in 2015, the Seattle-based Polyarc created Moss and its Book II follow-up, then released a standard version of the two games that you didn't need a PSVR2 headset to play. During that time, it also developed a live service spin-off of the series named Glassbreakers.

In March earlier this year, Polyarc underwent a round of mass layoffs after it failed to secure funding after a big project was cancelled. Now, the whole company has gone under.
