Control Resonant is finally here, so grab your shapeshifting weapon and get ready to beat the hell out of some paranatural enemies. While you will spend a lot of time fighting the Hiss or scurrying across the roofs of New York City, Dylan will need to solve the occasional puzzle if they want to progress.
One of the earliest is during the second mission, "Welcome To Manhattan," which requires you to charge the Central Checkpoint because the FBC worker couldn't be asked. Here's what you need to know to complete this puzzle so you can progress the main quest.
During the second mission, you will be instructed to make your way to the Central Checkpoint where you'll find a bunch of Hiss and a note from Baker, the FBC maintenance worker who abandoned his post. After killing the Hiss, enter the checkpoint and interact with the file on the table to your left to find a crudely drawn map of the surrounding area with five cubes marked in a specific order.
Your goal is to power up these nodes along the route in the correct order to unlock the path through the Central Checkpoint. To do this, hit the sparking orange-colored cube across from the table where you found Baker's drawing. This will temporarily transfer the electricity from the cube to your Aberrant, giving you around 20 seconds to reach the next box and hit it to power it up.
To start this puzzle, take the power from the starting Power Core and run it to the one directly across from the checkpoint that's leaning against the central pillar where you previously fought the Hiss.
Power Core 2 can be found hidden away in a loading dock about a block away. From the central pillar, run down the road on the right and then take the first left under the small white unionization banner on the light poll. Then take an immediate left down the ramp to find the core. Before you keep going, make sure to approach Baker's body in the open garage.
This will prompt a brief dialogue exchange with Zoe over the radio about Dylan's guilt. Inside the garage is also a chest with some upgrade materials you'll want!
The third Power Core is going to be on a rooftop north of your location. From Power Core 2, turn and face the ramp you just ran down. You will want to go further down the alley where the Hiss Spikes are. Jump onto the green awnings to the left and use them to reach the rooftop on the right (path shown above).
