While exploring the Hiss-infested streets of Manhattan, players will often come across metal hatch doors on the roofs of buildings and structures in Control Resonant. Checking these out on the map will reveal that these are actually ability barriers that require a specific ability to open. Here's a quick guide on how to open up metal hatch doors on rooftops in Control Resonant, and which exact ability you need for it.
Hatch Doors are one of the ability barriers in Control Resonant that will require players to get a combat ability by defeating one of the Resonants (bosses). To open up the Metal Hatch Doors on rooftops, players will need the "Ground Slam" ability that's acquired by defeating The West Incursion Zone Resonant.
This Resonant is added to your quest log at the start of the game, when you scout locations from the Watchtower where you meet Zoe. As the name suggests, you'll need to go to the West Incursion Zone and will need to get the "Shift" ability first from the Incursion Fault there before making your way to the Resonant's location.
Once you've defeated the West Incursion Resonant, make sure to opt for the "Ground Slam" ability instead of Push. This is the only ability in Control Resonant that'll allow you to open up Metal Hatch Doors on rooftops.
Now, all you need to do is locate one of the Metal Hatch Doors. Once you're close, simply jump into the air and execute the Ground Slam ability. Dylan will slam into the Hatch Doors and break them open, allowing you to access the locked-off area and find some valuable loot inside.
