Marvel's Wolverine is out today on PS5, and if it feels like we've waited an age for this one to arrive, it's because it really has been a long time coming.
Those of you with good memories may recall Insomniac's action game being announced all the way back in 2021, courtesy of a very brief teaser trailer centred around character's iconic claws.
Wolverine wasn't re-revealed until 2025, which seems especially crazy in hindsight — but we also can't forget that the developer was the victim of a serious hacking incident near the end of 2023.
Early builds of the game were leaked, and unfinished gameplay footage made its way online. There's no doubt that said events had a negative impact on the title's schedule.
Still, Marvel's Wolverine is here now, and I want to know if you're actually playing it.
Critic reviews have been a bit hit and miss, to the point where Logan's latest is one of the lowest rated PlayStation Studios releases of the PS5 generation. Many onlookers, including us here at Push Square, expected it to score better.
With that in mind, it'll be super interesting to see how the game's received by players; I can certainly see plenty of people having a lot of fun with Wolverine if expectations are kept in check.
Indeed, our own Liam Croft outlined a few key flaws in his Marvel's Wolverine PS5 review, but ultimately awarded it a 'great' 8/10.
