The Ace Archer: Kyoto Imperial Palace mission in Onimusha: Way of the Sword tasks Musashi to find five Kubi Akari hiding around the Imperial Palace. The creatures are easy to miss because they’re either flying behind buildings, inside structures, or above areas that cannot be reached on foot.
Finding Kubi Akari is less about exploring every corner and more about standing in the right place and knowing where to aim. Read on to learn how to unlock the mission and where to find all five Kubi Akari at the Imperial Palace in Onimusha WoTS.
The Ace Archer: Kyoto Imperial Palace mission becomes available at Gojo Street. Travel to the Gojo Street West Spirit Mirror and speak to the man standing north of it. He will explain that dangerous flying creatures have been spotted around the Kyoto Imperial Palace and ask Musashi to deal with them.
Once the conversation is over, the mission begins. The objective is to find and kill five Kubi Akari in the Imperial Palace area.
Even though the creatures are marked on the map with notebook icons, it doesn’t mean the targets are standing somewhere Musashi can simply walk up to. Make sure you find a clear shooting position and wait for the Kubi Akari to come into view.
There are five Kubi Akari to defeat for the Ace Archer: Kyoto Imperial Palace mission.
The targets can be defeated in any order. We’ve just numbered them so it makes them easier for you to find. There’s no need to follow a specific route.
The first Kubi Akari is found on the western side of the Imperial Palace, near a corridor.
