Blindingly Obvious Quest Choices - The Witcher 3

Blindingly Obvious Quest Choices - The Witcher 3

Final Preparations require Geralt to help his allies, and if you visit Triss, she'll tell you that it's time to find and rescue Phillipa, a missing (and vital) member of the Lodge of Sorceresses. Finding Phillipa might be easy, but being able to pull her from Dijkstra's claws is another story. Below, we'll share the best choices you should make in Blindingly Obvious in The Witcher 3 to get the best possible ending.

When you begin the quest by speaking with Triss at The Chameleon, you will have a timed choice regarding your dialogue. However, the choice here has no consequences, so pick whatever you feel is best.

When you arrive at Dijkstra's Bathhouse with Triss, Geralt will be forced to chase her on his own. There are some of Dijkstra's Henchman, and you can fight them or ignore them; it doesn't matter. However, in the tunnels, you'll soon find that the friendly Rock Troll, Bart, has been brainwashed. You can avoid fighting Bart by saying, "I want to help her." This will stop you from killing Bart, who has no loot even if you do kill him.

When you arrive at Philippa's location, you will have to fight a Fire Elemental (but it's not so tough). You will now need to sneak up on Philippa without making much noise, but don't worry about making noise; you can freely run and jump up the stairs, because as soon as you get to Philippa, the cutscene of you catching her will play.

Should You Tell Dijkstra About the Emperor is After or Shove Him Aside
Should You Tell Dijkstra About the Emperor is After or Shove Him Aside

Dijkstra and Philippa will reunite, and Geralt puts himself between their bickering. It's here that you have two options:

You should say "Tell you what the emperor's after if you let us go" to Dijkstra, as this opens up the secret "Reason of State" side quest that will allow you to work with Vernon Roche and Dijkstra to assassinate Radovid and decide on the outcome of the Nilfgaard war. Failing to select this option means that Nilfgaard will lose either way.

The option above is not available if you did not complete "A Deadly Plot" before "The Isle of Mists".
