Ghosts of the Past is an optional quest in The Witcher 3 that can have an impact on a later main story quest. One of the main houses has several mines set up around its entrance. Carefully disarm them before heading inside. Go through the doors on the right and watch out for more traps on the floor, along with crossbow traps mounted on the walls.
Continue through the house until you find a ladder that Geralt can use to reach the attic. Upstairs, he will encounter Letho, who explains that he has already dealt with the beasts and is now hiding from assassins.
As you speak with Letho, a group of men will arrive, prompting him to ask whether you will help him deal with them. Although the game presents two dialogue options, both lead to the same outcome, so you will need to help Letho fight the men.
After the fight, Letho explains that he wants to visit Louis to find out whether he betrayed him. Stick close and follow Letho on horseback to the camp where Louis can be found.
During their conversation, Letho repeatedly accuses Louis of being a traitor. The argument eventually escalates into a fight against a group of enemies. Deal with them before continuing the conversation.
