We've seen three games release on Xbox Game Pass this week and we're expecting more announcements in the coming days for the rest of September (most likely on Tuesday), but amidst everything that's been happening recently, another two upcoming Game Pass titles have quietly received new release windows.
Hela: Of Mice & Magic is the first of these, which is a co-op adventure game starring "a brave little mouse" that was first announced for Xbox Game Pass last week, but now suddenly has a release date of December 1st, 2026.
The second is a game called The Last Caretaker, which has been announced for Xbox Game Pass in Spring 2027. It's a first-person survival-crafting adventure that's been in early access on Steam since late 2025, and it has a "Very Positive" rating based on over 8,000 user reviews. The 1.0 version will land at some point in Spring 2027 alongside the Xbox console release, and as far as we can tell it's an Xbox console exclusive - at least at launch.
"Channel37 announces that The Last Caretaker will launch in 1.0 in Spring 2027, arriving simultaneously on PC and XBOX, and available to play Day One with XBOX Game Pass. Players can wishlist the XBOX version now on the XBOX Store. The announcement marks the next major step for the science-fiction survival-crafting game following an Early Access period that began in November 2025. Since then, The Last Caretaker has shipped seven updates, sold more than 400,000 copies, and seen players average approximately 50 hours in its drowned world."
As mentioned, we expect to have more to discuss about Xbox Game Pass when Microsoft hopefully reveals more titles for September next week, and don't forget that both September and October are already looking quite stacked for Game Pass additions as it is, with RuneScape: Dragonwilds next on the "coming soon" list as things stand.
