Mortal Shell 2 lets players tackle its bosses in whichever order they want. However, given the disparity in difficulty between each of these mighty foes, less experienced players may want to start with the easiest ones first. In this Mortal Shell 2 guide, we'll be going over our recommended boss progression order, including all the minibosses and the rewards you get along the way.
This guide contains spoilers for Mortal Shell 2's bosses and the final stretch of the main questline.
Below is a list of all main Mortal Shell 2 bosses, including the two bosses you need to beat in order to reach them in the first place. The list below is arranged based on difficulty, with the first one being the easiest, and the last being the hardest. This way, you can avoid challenging bosses that are too hard for your current Harbinger Level.
This boss order isn't strict by any means, especially since most of them drop Tarstones that are exclusive to certain weapons. If you're looking for something specific, you may want to skip other bosses and focus on the one that drops the item you want.
Corrupted Beacon Boss refers to the boss you need to beat to open the Corrupted Gate leading to the main boss' domain. Guardian Boss refers to the miniboss that's guarding the main boss' arena. Neither of these guys are optional, and you must beat them to reach the main boss they're tied to.
After you defeat the six main bosses, you'll get summoned by the Undermether, and she'll tell you to get rid of the Fould Passenger within her. If you return to Marrow Keep and approach Milos, the acolyte in the Ova room, he'll transform into an enemy, and a passage leading deep into the keep will appear. Go there, and you'll arrive at the Unfound Path.
The Unfound Path is the final dungeon in Mortal Shell 2, and it is basically a boss gauntlet where you have to defeat three powerful enemies in order to reach the final boss of the game. At this point, it doesn't matter which one of them you fight first, as they're all pretty difficult, and the only rewards they'll yield are items that you can sell for Coins. The bosses in question are:
Beating these three bosses unlocks the final beacon, and once you cleanse that, you'll be able to challenge Zmey the Unbidden.
