Sony’s PlayStation State of Play is airing on September 3, right after Gamescom 2026. We’re expecting a close look at what Sony has to offer for the rest of 2026 and beyond.
The showcase will likely run for around 60 minutes as they show gameplay reveals, announcements, and updates from studios around the world. Sony has plenty of upcoming games under their belt, such as Until Dawn 2, Silent Hill Townfall, and God of War Laufey so here’s hoping we’ll get a fresh look at them. Here’s every announcement and trailer from the whole showcase.
Zach Cregger, the director behind Weapons and Barbarian, turns his eye for slow-building dread on Resident Evil, and the film retells the outbreak that flattens Raccoon City during the events of Resident Evil 2.
New footage follows Austin Abrams’s Bryan, a medical courier who picked the worst possible night to make a delivery, and shows infected bodies hurling themselves off rooftops while the snow turns red beneath him.
Resident Evil hits IMAX screens exclusively in theatres on September 18, 2026.
Marvel’s Wolverine has been Insomniac’s worst-kept secret for years, and this last look before launch finally lets Logan share the frame with the mutants who shaped him, Jean Grey and Mystique among them, trading quips before things inevitably turn violent.
What’s new here is seeing that ensemble in motion, plus a glimpse of a temple standoff that hints at just how far from home this story wanders. Marvel’s Wolverine launches September 15, 2026, exclusively on PS5.
