The world of Jujutsu Kaisen has seen the rise of several powerful sorcerers over the years, but only a select few have what it takes to be called the strongest. The most renowned sorcerer that exists in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen is Gojo Satoru, who was officially introduced to us in the second chapter of the original series. He was feared all over the world and was the mightiest in the modern era.
There is also Ryomen Sukuna, who is known to be the strongest in the history of the Jujutsu Kaisen world. Both Gojo and Sukuna met there, in Jujutsu Kaisen's Shinjuku Showdown arc. In the meantime, a new strongest sorcerer emerged in the era that followed, and this was none other than Yuji Itadori. In the sequel series Modulo, Gege Akutami, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, has now officially set up the death of Yuji Itadori as well as his revival as the new strongest in an era set 300 years following the current timeline.
After the consumption of the Cursed Object, Yuji Itadori's life changed completely throughout the run of Jujutsu Kaisen, but the most significant change came when he ended up consuming the Death Paintings 4 to 9. At the time, Yuji did this because he wanted to gain access to Blood Manipulation and aid in terms of utilizing Reverse Cursed Technique and gaining the power of Blood Manipulation. However, he had no idea of the repercussions that this decision would have. In the Modulo era, specifically 68 years later, Yuji Itadori was confirmed not to age like normal humans. While the vast majority of Yuji's friends died one by one, he is still young and youthful as ever. In Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo Volume 3, which was officially released on May 1, 2026, Gege Akutami himself confirmed that Yuji Itadori changed into a half-cursed spirit and half-human following the consumption of the Death Paintings. In other words, Yuji simply does not age properly any longer and will continue to live for many years.

In Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 22, which was officially released on February 15, 2026, Yuji himself confirmed that he will stay alive for at least 300 more years. This is extremely important because it confirms that Yuji is not immortal and that 300 years later, he will meet his demise, putting the new strongest sorcerer to rest for a very long time. But Gege also already set up Yuji's revival once again in the very last chapter of Modulo.

On March 8, 2026, Gege Akutami officially confirmed the revival of Yuji Itadori over 300 years into the future. Yuji is the strongest sorcerer right now, and currently, he is trying his best to raise a new generation of Heavenly Restriction users who he intends to be armed with mass-produced cursed tools. He intends to teach them how to fight and to cull any threats that emerge in Tokyo. The primary reason for this is that Yuji wants to create a generation that continues to fight cursed spirits following his death. However, he also has another plan in mind. In JJK Modulo Chapter 25, he confirmed that he intends to be revived if things ever go south in the future. Upon his death, Yuji wants to be turned into a Cursed Object, just like Sukuna. As we know, Ryomen Sukuna became a finger following his death, and these fingers, upon consumption, reawakened Sukuna in a new era. Similarly, Yuji intends to do this to be revived into a new era in an attempt to fight any threat that emerges in the future.
