Gamescom 2026 is officially underway, and Opening Night Live just to kicked things off with another round of gameplay reveals, interviews, and world premiere trailers straight from Cologne, Germany.

HoYoverse used its Gamescom slot to confirm the game fans have called Nodusfall for months, and they were not far off! The trademark for the name was filed back on April 29, 2026, under Cognosphere Pte. Ltd, and leaked test footage that surfaced online on August 13 already showed a dark fantasy open world built on Unreal Engine 5.
Leakers had also described its combat as HoYoverse’s take on Monster Hunter, and based on the gameplay shown on the trailer, they were absolutely right. Tonight’s trailer gave the game an official name, Nodus Fall — an adventure in which you play a Weaver in a fallen world and team up to hunt the mythic beings left in its wake.
Ubisoft made an appearance with something the Rainbow Six community has speculated about for years, a new mainline entry that isn’t just another Siege season. The franchise has spent the last decade almost entirely inside Siege, its spinoffs Extraction and Mobile, and Siege X’s ground up overhaul earlier this year. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Tactics marks a genuine departure, and its name alone suggests Ubisoft wants to lean back into the tactical planning roots the series was built on.
