Pokemon has joined forces with SPAM for an unexpected food collaboration featuring collectible sets based on Snorlax, Ditto, and Charmander.
The crossover was created with South Korean food company CJ CheilJedang as part of Pokemon’s 30th anniversary celebrations. It transforms the country’s familiar SPAM gift sets into three colorful “SPAM Towers” themed around the popular characters.
According to Essential Japan, each box contains five 200g cans of SPAM Classic alongside Pokemon stickers.
Fans who buy all three versions will also receive one of two limited-edition plush keychains. The designs show either Snorlax or Ditto holding a can of SPAM and a bowl of rice.
Each SPAM Tower costs ₩19,900, roughly $15 USD, while the complete three-character collection is priced at ₩59,700, or approximately $45.
However, the inevitable resale rush has already begun. One seller has listed the complete collection on eBay for around $88, nearly double its original price.

For international fans, canned meat might sound like an unusual holiday present. However, SPAM gift sets have become a popular tradition in South Korea during major celebrations such as Chuseok and Seollal.
