Activision has confirmed that weapon camos from older Call of Duty games will not carry over into the Modern Warfare 4 version of Warzone, despite previously announcing they would.
The publisher had previously stated that Camos from legacy titles would remain available in Warzone following the arrival of Modern Warfare 4 Season 1. However, an update added to the original blog has now clarified that this isn’t the case.
“In the published version of the Blog, it was stated that Weapon Camos from legacy titles will be available in Call of Duty: Warzone. This is incorrect,” the blog reads. “We apologize for the error.”
This means players won’t be able to equip their existing camos on returning weapons, but “every legacy weapon will have a five-attachment version that will be unlockable via the Armory.”
The good news is that other items earned or purchased in past games will still carry over as normal, as Activision confirmed that Operators, Skins, and Weapon Blueprints from Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7 will continue to be available.

So, players will still have access to their huge collections of older cosmetics when Modern Warfare 4 arrives in Warzone, but their existing Weapon Camos just won’t be part of it. This has been the case every year, but the original announcement had fans thinking that this time would be different.
Although the devs have now clarified, many players who spent time unlocking the camos aren’t happy with the decision.
