Dead By Daylight is no stranger to collaborative events, with the crossover characters from killers, survivors, and even simply cosmetics being a staple of the game at this point. As if the upcoming release of Art the Clown and the VHS-inspired Haunted by Daylight event for Halloween weren't enough, it seems like yet another Triple-A franchise is getting the Dead by Daylight treatment soon.
While the official Dead by Daylight X account had initially posted a cryptic teaser suggesting that we would be getting new cosmetics for 4 survivors, fans were quickly able to decipher the font used in the post to be from none other than NieR: Automata.
As if that wasn't enough, the same account more recently shared another teaser image that all but confirms the collaboration is with NieR: Automata, as noted in the comparison shared by YoRHa4DBD on X. With the exact same font and background style as the ones used within NieR: Automata's YorHA systems, the crossover is all but confirmed at this point.
Even with the collaboration being confirmed, however, what the event will actually entail is still relatively up to speculation, with some fans guessing that the "four survivors" text implies that we'll be getting skins for each of the characters seen in the teaser rather than brand-new survivors.
Interestingly enough, at the end of the teaser, there seems to be a piece of white clothing that fans have also speculated could be a part of 2P's white battle dress as a cosmetic for one of the killers.
While the NieR: Automata collaboration is bound to be an expensive one if the previous Overwatch crossover is anything to go by, which ended up costing more than a brand-new copy of the game itself for all the skins, it's still exciting to see how another franchise will adapt the iconic character designs.
Even if it winds up being the same characters that make their way into every collaboration with the NieR franchise, Dead by Daylight has more than a few anime-style cosmetics that fit right into the game world, with the newest additions adding to NieR: Automata's seemingly endless stream of crossover events.
