After Vlodimir is banished by the Mirror Master in Dead Man's Party, Geralt can stick around at the after-party to help cheer up Shani. Regardless of whether or not you want to romance Shani, this quest can be completed without consequences, but choosing to ignore it and leaving the party will fail the quest. You can successfully romance Shani without it having an impact on your relationship with Yennefer or Triss.
In "Dead Man's Party", Vlodimir will be banished, and Gaunter O'Dimm will give Geralt some advice on women. This will start the "A Midnight Clear" side quest, so make sure you stay in the party and don't leave for Olgierd, or the quest will fail.
To begin, read the journal entry on Shani by selecting "Glossary > Characters > Shani" to learn that Shani loves Rowan Blossoms. You can find a Rowan Branch just opposite the barn ladder, as shown in the images above.
You can also find Chamomile, Rowanberry Brandy, and Mead, but finding the Rowan Branch rewards more XP and allows her to wear it in her hair.
With the Rowan Branch acquired, head into the main barn and speak with Shani. Here, you will come across your first important dialogue choice:
Regardless of your choice, Geralt and Shani will go for a walk, and there are now only two options that matter:
Select both of these limited-time dialogue choices to engage in a romance scene with Shani, which will see the two row a boat onto the lake and engage in lewd activities that we can neither show nor discuss here! When Geralt wakes in the morning, the quest will end, netting you some XP and a fond memory with Shani that neither of you will forget.
